The Mobile Office must enable me to:
- Send, receive, archive emails.
- Securely save data (source code, text, spreadsheet, images). Private data must remain private.
- Have access to a basic set of software applications. Those applications must be accessible from a USB key. They must run from the USB key: I should not have to install anything on the host computer. I would need:
- a text editor (emacs)
- a mail application (Thunderbird, Horde)
- an image editing software (Photoshop, GIMP)
- a FTP client
- OpenOffice
- a web browser (Firefox)
- Download any MP3 from my music library, without storing them on a public web server.
